Bridge Group annual conference at BBC

In its headline event of the year, the Bridge Group is today convening over 200 leaders and practitioners across sectors to advance social equality. The event, hosted by the BBC at Broadcasting House, will have a sharp focus on the latest evidence and the practical action that government, educational institutions and employers can take.

Headline speaker John Amaechi, psychologist and New York Times best-selling author commented: “This is a rare opportunity for colleagues to engage across sectors to debate practical solutions to the most important challenge of our time. Everyone should expect provocation, debate, and an important opportunity to share the latest evidence about what works.”

The event will focus on social equality, access and success in higher education, and socio-economic diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Keynote speeches and audience debate will focus on applied, cross-sector approaches.

In her role as Chair for the opening session, Polly Toynbee (journalist and writer) added: “Our impressive line-up of speakers promises to fuel reflective and thoughtful debate, but will also root arguments in what needs to happen. The Bridge Group is dedicated to applying evidence to drive effective practice.”

The event is sold out, but film and audio material will be shared afterwards.
