Socio-economic diversity in the digital tech sector

In collaboration with the Sutton Trust, the Bridge Group is conducting new research into socio-economic diversity in the digital tech sector. To-date, diversity research has concentrated on gender and ethnicity and there is limited understanding of the influence of social background on access to tech roles. We want to find out more to ensure that the tech sector is representative of the wider population and that everyone, regardless of their social background, can pursue a career in tech. We’re working with a range of firms as part of our study and are conducting a survey of people in tech roles.

If you work in tech and want to help support diversity, we would be grateful if you could participate in our short survey before the end of October. The survey is completely anonymous and responses will not be shared.

We will be publishing our research in the spring, 2020.
