Bridge Group appointed as Data Partner for Progress Together

We are delighted to announce that the Bridge Group has been appointed the Data Partner for Progress Together, to help level up the UK’s financial services sector. The collaboration of leading financial services organisations has been informed by the work of the independent taskforce, commissioned by HM Treasury and the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, which Bridge Group CEO Nik Miller contributed to significantly.

The work of this group drew on research published by the Bridge Group in 2020, highlighting the effects of socio-economic background on progression and performance in UK financial services.

Regarding the appointment, Sophie Hulm, CEO at Progress Together, said:

“It is fantastic to continue the partnership with the Bridge Group following their insightful research that identified the need for change from which Progress Together was born.

To be successful it’s essential we are able to accurately capture data from the sector, forming an evidenced-based approach to drive improvement and measure progress.

The initial results are clear, and over 50 organisations have already joined the movement.

We look forward to building on this growing momentum, and with the Bridge Group's ongoing involvement hope to help organisations understand and overcome their socio-economic diversity challenges.”

Nik added,

“This collaboration is a vital opportunity to advance real change in this area. Our deep analysis of members’ data will be at the heart of informing progress, and providing accountability for all of those involved, and promises to build on our wide-ranging work in the accountancy, legal and real estate sectors.”
