Working at the Bridge Group
If you plan to apply for a role at the Bridge Group, you may find the following information useful:
Location is flexible; Bridge Group staff work remotely and are currently dispersed across the UK. We do, however, occasionally meet face-to-face in different locations across the UK, or organise/attend UK-based events.
We only accept applicants who have the right to work in the UK and who plan to live in the UK for the duration of the contract. Unfortunately, we cannot sponsor visa applications nor hire candidates that are resident overseas.
We usually offer a one-year contract in the first instance, with a three-month probationary period, but please check individual vacancies for further information on this.
Bridge Group employees enjoy participation in the Charity’s NEST pension scheme and are entitled to a small, tax-free remote working allowance.
All staff receive 28 days paid leave, plus UK bank holidays (leave allocated pro rata for part-time appointments).
To reduce possible bias in shortlisting applicants, we undertake the first stage (scoring application questions) without seeing applicants’ names or CVs. At the second stage, we consider CVs, but still without applicants’ names. We do not consider the type of school or university you attended, but we do check that you hold any qualification(s) specified.
To help us monitor our shortlisting and selection of applicants by background and characteristics, we ask all applicants to complete a diversity questionnaire. This is not shared with the shortlisting team.
If you are shortlisted and require any assistance or reasonable adjustments to make the interview process more accessible, you will be able to request this in the diversity questionnaire.
Living Wage employer
The Bridge Group is an accredited Living Wage employer, meaning that every member of our staff earns a real Living Wage. The real Living Wage is higher than both the government’s legal minimum or the National Living Wage.
Diversity at the Bridge Group
The Bridge Group is committed to maintaining the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in all areas of our research and operations. Having a range of perspectives and experience benefits our work and enriches our team, so we encourage people from all backgrounds to apply for roles with us. We have measures in place to help us be a parent/carer-friendly and disability-friendly employer.
In 2024, the Bridge Group undertook an independent qualitative review to examine employees’ experiences and perspectives of the organisation’s approach, actions and behaviours.
